Message: For what it is and the low price, we really enjoyed it. My only true gripe is the lack of cart paths and clear instructions how to get one hole to the next but I don’t dock any stars for something small. We got lost a few times looking for next tee boxes after the green. If the course won’t/can’t install true cart paths, I would at least suggest addressing the REALLY rough and rutted areas where you can’t even take the cart through it, more sand/gravel or something. There are ropes beside these rough areas where you can’t pull the cart to the fairway and you feel stuck. Otherwise, it’s a very low key place, great for beginners and low pressure training practice, with some used items inside for sale and nice high quality new polos half the price of what most golf courses polos cost. The guy at the desk was really nice, let us borrow his small cooler with ice to carry our drinks and I grabbed a couple used head covers for $3 each. Hard to beat! And granted it was a weekday afternoon but the place was almost empty and we had no one pushing us or in front of us. I will surely go back when I visit Savannah.

Message: Mary Calder golf course is a legendary place to so many people who grew up in Savannah Georgia. The course has had its ups and downs like many other golf courses. I’ve been an annual member for the last three years. I can honestly say it’s never looked better than right now! From the grounds crew to the club house staff and management it’s an enjoyable and challenging 9 hole track. If you haven’t tried it I suggest you do. You won’t be disappointed!

Message: Great course, real casual place to bring a group or the kids. First come first serve, no tee times. Honestly, the club house guys are so nice and helpful. Bacon has become so unhospital lately, it's hard to find somewhere friendly these days. The greens have been looking good and I like going early on Sundays for a quiet round. Approachable, friendly, and relaxing, all things needed for a good day of golf.

Message: It's a friendly nine hole golf course located adjacent to Internationa Paper. It has a full service clubhouse. The clubhouse is also used for International Paper activities. Golf carts are available. It has a small practice putting green and a driving range. The access road can be pretty tough on a vehicle.

Message: Decent 9 hole course, a great value for the money. Not perfect, but definitely in good enough shape to play.

Message: Played for the first time early this morning. Paul helped me at the pro shop. I gotta tell you, I love his honesty. I was advised of the conditions prior to play. Here’s what I’ll tell you… were the tee boxes a little rough and fairways a little rough… sure, I’ll give you that. However, the greens… that was impressive! This course is 10000% playable. Great value for the money. Hoping they get their equipment back to snuff, because if this was bad, their good must be great. Also… loved the industrial feel with the local plants and what not. It felt like Savannah. Can’t wait to play again and upgrade this 4star to 5!
